Free parking in Bredene

In the blue zone, you can park for free in Bredene between 9:00 and 18:00 (unless otherwise stated).

You can park in this zone for 30 minutes up to a maximum of 3 hours. Be sure to look at the road signs, which state how long you can park in that street.

You may park in the blue zone all year round throughout the week (Monday to Sunday). This means you have to put a parking disc even on public holidays.

Paying parking in Bredene (red zone)

You have to pay to park everywhere in the red zone throughout the year. During the week (Monday to Sunday) between 10.00 and 19.00, you need to buy a parking ticket at the ticket machine and place it behind your windscreen. You can park for up to 9 hours between 10:00 and 19:00.

Tariffs

Rate 1: You choose the flat rate of EUR 30.00. You can then park without any time restriction, during the day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (max. 9 hours).

Rate 2: You opt for a short parking duration. You may then park for a maximum duration of 8 hours, during the day from 10 am to 7 pm. Rates differ for each paying car park as shown in the table below.

At the Shopping Dunes car park, the first 30 minutes are free if you also buy a parking ticket. After that you pay €0.50 per 10 minutes, €1.50 per 30 minutes and €3.00 per hour.

On the outskirts of Bredene Duinen, you can park at the Staf Versluys 3 car park, Klemskerkestraat and Dankaertstraat at €1.00 for 1 hour, €2.00 for 2 hours and €3.00 for 3 hours and more.

At other paid car parks you pay (after the first 15 minutes) €0.25 per 10 minutes, €0.75 per 30 minutes and €1.50 for an hour.

Accessible parking in Bredene

Holders of a disabled parking card must place this card behind the windscreen and then you can park for free unlimited parking in both reserved and regular car parks.

Important to remember about parking in Bredene

  • If you park longer than the permitted time or you have not laid down the parking disc, you will be fined €30, so be sure to check the parking meters.
  • You can also apply for a parking pass if you stay longer:

Do you park your car in a paying car park for 7 consecutive days? Then go for the weekly pass, which costs €25.
Are you staying for a full month (30/31 consecutive days) and parking in a paying car park? A monthly pass will cost you €65.
If you are staying for a whole year, you can also buy an annual pass. This annual pass will cost you €195.

You can buy these season tickets at the town hall, at the meeting and event centre Staf Versluys or online via the online parking shop: bredene.q2c.eu.

  • If the ticket machine does not work, put your blue parking disc. That way you can be sure you won't get a fine
